Hafa Adai! My name is Victoria Matsunaga. I serve as the Marianas Producers Association's Board vice president and media specialist. I joined MPA, because of my passion for helping others and also the environment. I grew up helping my father and my uncle who taught me farming practices when it came to various animals, specifically pigs, and also planting different types of vegetables and herbs. With that playing a significant role in my childhood, I went into Natural Resources Management as my minor in college while also serving as the president of the Environmental Natural Resources Organization (ENRO) at the Northern Marianas College. Along with my NRM degree program, I also studied ecology through the University of Guam and the United States Fish and Wildlife through a summer research program that took place on Saipan and Guam. I was also the Micronesia Challenge Young Champion at the Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality under the Coral Reef Initiative in 2020. I have always loved the environment and have had a passion for anything involving conservation efforts. I am happy to be a part of the Marianas Producers Association's Board of Directors and to be part of a dynamic team devoted to our community.Â
